Synchro Coach

My name is Kevin Stefan.  I love skating.  I love everything about it; the physicality, the rush, the freedom, the speed, the artistry, the training and the list goes on.  No matter how tired or sore I am, as soon as my skates hit the ice all is forgotten.  My energy level is at its fullest and my spirit couldn't be any higher.  I started skating at the age of 13.  I spent 5 short years as a competitive skater with my main focus in Ice Dance Pairs and Synchro.  When I was 18, I was approached by a Talent Scout which lead me into my career as a Professional Skater.  I've been touring the world with multiple major production companies but as of three years ago, I've retired from the show life and have been teaching skating.  Even though it keeps me busy 6 days a week with classes and private students, I'm still able to focus and push towards achieving my goal of becoming a full-time Choreographer.

Experience:
- 26 years of skating experience
- 21 years of Professional Status
- 19 contracts with various production tours
- 5 years as a Certified Trained Professional Coach

  Freelance Coach

My name is Lindsay Stieh and I am a Skate Canada Coach. My figure skating dreams started when I was 3 years old at the Norwich and District Skating Club. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a figure skating coach so at 16 I took the CanSkate Course. I started coaching in Norwich and was a long time Program Assistant. My dreams and goals became larger and I needed to skate in a more competitive club, so I started at Preston Skating Club, which allowed me to coach and gain valuable 6 years experience there. My coaching philosophy is for skaters to set goals, reach them, and have a lot of fun along the way! I coach in a positive, friendly, and encouraging manner to achieve skater success. I tend to focus on technique, freeskate, interpretive, stroking, and fitness.  I am an ambitious person who has recently opened my own fitness studio in Woodstock, Ontario. I also sell sporting gifts, blade soakers, hand made mitts, skating quilts, etc. to provide a full service to all skaters. I still have skating dreams of competing at the Senior Level in competition that I want to achieve in the next couple years while getting my next level of coaching.
