Intro starskate sessions are geared towards skaters beginning their figure skating journey. Ideally they will have completed the Canskate program or have reached the equivalent level of skill and proficiency. Skaters are introduced to skills, dance and free skate elements in the figure skating program. They will also begin to learn a solo or routine that will assist them in working independently on the ice. Skaters at this level are also introduced to our off-ice classes where they learn awareness, balance and coordination skills as well as rotation exercises that will help them with their skating development.
